  • We congratulate our confreres Fr Jude Ifezime CSSp and Fr Stafford Mayaula CSSp for successfully completing the Kiswahili language and Cultural induction program in Morogoro and Arusha respectively.  Jude is appointed to Morogoro, St. Mary’s Parish as Co-Pastor and Stafford Mayaula takes his appointment to Mto wa Mbu Parish as co-pastor. We wish them both happy and enriching first mission appointment.
  • As he prepares to go for his sabbatical leave, Fr Gaspar Mushi is temporary assigned to Usa River Parish as Co-pastor. He has also been appointed Acting Vocation Director for Tanzania Province until a permanent appointment is made. Three confreres have been assigned assistants to the Vocation Director and will be work in a team. These are Fr Joachim Bilembo (contact person for Kigoma Zone), Patience Mugisha (contact person for Bagamoyo zone) and Reclan Mallya (Contact person for Mbeya region). We thank all of them for accepting this important ministry of Vocation Animation for our Congregation.
  • Fr Paul Chuwa CSSp is appointed to the Provincialate Tengeru and will work as contact person for communication and Editor of Newsletter/Mission magazine for Tanzania Province. Fr Vincent Makhokha is appointed new Parish Priest of Mto WA Mbu parish.
  • Fr Alphonse Kimathi is transferred to Mbokomu Parish as Co-Pastor.
  • Fr Lameck Banda is transferred from Mbokomu parish to Usa Seminary as a member of the seminary staff and formation team.
  • Fr Thaddeus Siya is back for study leave as he does his academic research for his thesis at TEC in Dar es Salaam. He has been temporarily attached to St Dominico Spiritan community in Dar es Salaam.
  • Fr Eligius Mkulima is doing his MA, in Pastoral Theology at CUEA and not Doctoral thesis as earlier reported in the last Newsflash.
  • We are happy and grateful that the General Council has appointed two confreres to Tanzania Province for their first mission appointments. These are Deacons Simon Mtulo (Malawi) and Gilbert Tairo (Tanzania).  Other first mission appointments from Tanzania province to other circumscriptions are Deacons Kimaro Filbert (Zambia), Ezekiel Mrema (FANO) and Matthew Ngowi (Ethiopia).
